New Mexico Ag Leadership Program
Agriculture is a dynamic and ever changing industry. Times of uncertainty and rapid economic, political, technological, and social change provide challenges and opporunities for the industry. Throught these times, agriculutre relise on its most important asset, the human resource, to strenghten its vital sector in New Mexico.
The New Mexico Ag Leadership Program was founded to identify and develop effective leadership within the food, agricultural, and natural resources of New Mexico. The program aids in developling and cultiving their skills to serve as better leaders. Curriculum topics include public relations; social, economic, and cutural issues; international issues; and state and national government processes.
The Cattlegrowers Foundation is proud to have sponsored serveral New Mexico Ag Leadership Program Graduates. It is important that we provide an avenue for people in our industry to educate themselves about issues and develop skills that will enhance their lives.

Ag Leadership Classes have the opporunity to visit with our Congressional Delegation in Washington on current issues facing agriculture.

New Mexico Ag Leadership participants had the opporunity meet with Congressman Ben Ray Lujan, Jr. They dicussed the death tax, healthcare, water and many other issues.
