2021 Legislative Session will be unlike any session New Mexico has ever seen. In preparation, NMCGA will be holding a Boots in the Roundhouse Virtual Training event, via zoom of course.
The class will be held for three hours on Thursday, January 14, 2021; and is oriented around helping our members navigate the virtual meeting space, writing and submitting comments, reading bills and contacting legislators via phone, email and text message. Ag Fest
Perhaps one of the most anticipated legislative events, Ag Fest hosts hundreds of attendees to celebrate the import impact of New Mexico agriculture during this annual legislative event. Lawmakers and policy influencers make their way around the Santa Fe Convention Center, visiting countless booths that line the halls highlighting their individual contribution to the agriculture sector. Lawmakers and industry leaders visit to address legislative issues while sampling fine New Mexico BEEF during this annual event.

Held during the final days of legislative session, Roundhouse Feed serves over 1,000 beef dinners to legislators and legislative staff during the final days of session. This highly anticipated event brings lawmakers and cattlemen together on the floor of the state rotunda to celebrate the importance of the New Mexico beef industry.

Membership associations within the agriculture community join together to hosting dinner for legislators of House Agriculture & Natural Resource committee and Senate Conservation Committee to address current legislative priorities during session. Legislators dine on beef ribs, brisket and BBQ sandwiches at NMCGA's favorite restaurant in Santa Fe - Cowgirls BBQ.
